your scent processing being so close to memory in your brain is insane sometimes you step outside and take a whiff and go “ah, it smells like playing pokemon emerald in my third grade afterschool program in the crisp september of 2006”
Context for the 19 year olds reading this, September used to be a bit cold
The whole-chested unironic endorsement of the term “vibe coding” by the industry makes me feel insane. Like someone called it stupid-idiot coding and the whole industry said “yeah that. That’s what I’m selling you.”
“I did this just by vibes” describes a project you did with no real planning, design, foresight, or critical thinking. It’s winging-it in the flavor of “I was chill just seeing what happened.”
That is completely fine for like. A fun little craft. A go with the flow recipe. A music riff you’re just feeling out. Not engineering.
The tech industry SHOULD be the first ones sounding the alarm on “what the fuck do you mean you just vibed this out” but we’re in the stupid fuck-ass ouroborous world where the tech industry is the one peddling the grift to the world so they’re happy to eat their own tail because it tastes like money
‘’drakengard 3 was a bad game’’ ok but consider this
You need to turn the sound on. For the dragon’s voice.
I never knew a single thing about drakengard. This is the first and only thing I have ever seen from a drakengard game. How can the rest ever live up to this.
my kitty cat was wandering around going ‘mrrph?” so i was like “in here!” he goes “mrrph!” shoves open my bedroom door with his big round head and FLOPS on me. as in hard enough that he made a little “oof” noise when he did it. followed by a category five purring event. there’s good in this world mr frodo etc
